Organic Non-GMO Open Pollinated Arugula Seeds

Arugula is a vibrant, easy-growing green that brings a fresh, peppery kick to salads, sandwiches, and any dish that could use a little brightness. Also known as rocket, this leafy green is beloved for its mild, spicy flavor and its rich nutrient profile—packed with vitamins A, C, and K, plus calcium, iron, and potassium.

Each packet includes plenty to plant generously and to sow in succession for a steady harvest of garden-fresh arugula. Seeds are carefully selected for strong germination and healthy, vigorous plants. Simple planting instructions are printed on the back of the packet, so even new gardeners can feel confident getting started.

Arugula grows best in the cooler days of spring and fall, or with a bit of afternoon shade in warmer climates, as heat can bring out a stronger, more bitter flavor. With the right conditions, you'll be harvesting tender, delicious leaves in just a few weeks.

Grow it once and you may find yourself keeping a patch of fresh arugula in the garden year-round.

Gardener Tips

Keep soil moist while seeds are germinating and growing. For continuous harvest, sow in succession every 2-3 weeks. Harvest often to promote growth.

Harvesting Tips

Harvest arugula in the early morning before the heat of the day or in the late afternoon.  Heat causes plant stress and chemical changes triggered by heat, sunlight, and water loss cause the bitterness.

Baby Arugula

  • Days to harvest: 20–25 days after sowing

  • Leaves are small, tender, and milder in flavor. You can harvest by snipping outer leaves or cutting the whole plant an inch above the soil for regrowth.

Mature Arugula

  • Days to harvest: 35–50 days after sowing

  • Leaves are larger with a stronger, more peppery flavor. Plants may begin to bolt (flower) more quickly in warm weather, which can make the leaves more bitter.
