This modern day pansy began as a European wildflower.  Affectionately called Shakespeare's "little Western flower" and was often seen in many of his famous works.

Also known as the "Herb of Trinity" as it was inspired by its tricolored types.  The sweet five pedaled flower represents loving thoughts.

Pansy's thrive in cooler weather and enjoy being planted in the early spring or fall.

They thrive in containers, as borders, ground cover or in hanging baskets.

Always remove faded blossoms to prolong flowering.

Growing Tips:

These gorgeous and hardy annuals can be started indoors in cold climates 6 - 8 weeks before last frost.  Best to not plant deeper than 1/8” and cover with soil and sprinkle with water. They can also be planted in late winter for early spring - summer flowering or  plant in summer for a winter flowering.    These beautiful flowers enjoy rich, moist, well draining soil .  These beauties love to sprawl to 9” - 12” and grow to heights of  6” - 9”.  Space plants about 7” - 12” apart.    Water on a regular basis, but do not waterlog.  Pansies can benefit from an organic fertilizer or compost tea.
