For a steady harvest, sow every 2–3 weeks throughout the season.
Harvest Tips
-
Harvest when roots reach 6" – 7" long with a deep, even color. They have a blunt, rounded tip, which helps signal maturity.
-
Can also be harvested earlier as baby carrots for fresh snacking or lunchbox treats.
-
Loosen Soil First: Use a garden fork to loosen soil gently—these roots are delicate and prone to snapping if pulled too quickly.
-
After Harvest remove tops immediately to retain moisture in the root, and store carrots in a cool, humid place like a root cellar or crisper drawer.
