Originally available as early as the 1800's this marigold, was thought to have run away with the circus, since it was lost but rediscovered. The variegated stripes are reminiscent of a harlequin or a circus tent, thus taking on this fantastical name. Enjoying the cooler weather of late summer/ fall, this flower will continue to reveal its striping and dramatic essence.
Naturally repels insects and nematodes in the soil while providing a sweet scent and fodder for butterflies and beneficial insects in the garden.
Has a bushy tendency and benefits from seedlings being pinched when they are about 6" tall. Deadhead for continuous blooms.
